Privacy policy
Pattaya School Guide collects almost no personal data. This page explains exactly what we do and don't track, why, and how to reach us with privacy questions.
Last updated: 18 May 2026. Effective from: 18 May 2026. Governing law: Thailand (PDPA), with reference to GDPR for EU/EEA visitors.
The short version
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't load Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any session-replay tool. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for aggregate traffic stats — page views, country, referrer, device. GA4 sets first-party cookies (<_ga>, <_ga_*>); you can opt out below. If you email us, we keep your email until your question is resolved. That's the whole story.
Who runs this site
This site is operated by TIMPAEMI CO., LTD., a Thai juristic person registered in Chon Buri Province, Thailand. The natural person responsible for editorial and data decisions is Tim Paemi. Contact for any privacy request: [email protected].
What we collect — by category
1. Server logs (Cloudflare edge)
Every request to the site is logged by Cloudflare as part of standard CDN operation. These logs include your IP address (truncated for analytics), the requested URL, the response status, your user agent, and a timestamp. Cloudflare uses this to defend against attacks and to serve cached content from a nearby edge. Logs are retained on a rolling basis per Cloudflare's own policy and are not exported to us in identifiable form.
2. Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-3PS854KH4P), which loads the gtag.js library from www.googletagmanager.com on every page. GA4 collects: aggregate page views, country (derived from IP and then discarded), browser + OS user-agent string, referrer URL, device category, screen size, language, and engagement time. GA4 sets first-party cookies on this domain — typically _ga (2-year lifetime) and _ga_3PS854KH4P (2-year lifetime). IP addresses are not stored; Google truncates the last octet at collection per GA4 defaults. We do not use Google Signals, demographic + interest reports, ads remarketing, user-ID, or measurement protocol forwarding. Data is processed by Google under their privacy policy and the GA4 data-retention controls (set to the GA4 minimum, 2 months).
How to opt out of GA on this site:
- Install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
- Use any tracker-blocker (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, AdGuard, Brave Shields) — the site continues to function normally.
- Use Safari with Intelligent Tracking Prevention enabled (default), or Firefox with Enhanced Tracking Protection on Strict.
- Clear cookies for
pattaya-school-guide.comin your browser settings any time.
3. Service Worker cache
Our site can install a service worker that caches CSS, JS, and recent pages in your browser's storage for instant return-load. Offline support is a progressive enhancement — if it is unavailable in a given build, normal browser caching applies. This cache lives only in your browser. We never see it. You can clear it any time via your browser settings → Site data → pattaya-school-guide.com → Clear.
4. Email correspondence
If you email [email protected] — for example to report a correction, suggest a school, or request a takedown — we receive your name, email address, and message. We retain that thread until the matter is resolved plus a reasonable archive period (typically 24 months) for continuity. We never add you to a mailing list. We don't run a newsletter.
5. What we don't collect
We don't run Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or any session-replay tool. We don't set advertising cookies beyond the Google Analytics first-party cookies described above. We don't share visitor data with school marketing teams, lead-generation companies, or affiliate networks. There are no affiliate links on this site.
Your rights — Thailand PDPA + GDPR
Under the Thai Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, rectify inaccuracies, erase data, object to processing, and port your data to another service. For server logs and aggregate analytics, there's typically nothing identifiable to act on. For email correspondence, write to [email protected] with the subject "PDPA / GDPR request" and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is written for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information via email, contact us and we will delete it.
Schools featured on the site
School profiles cite information already in the public record (official admissions pages, accreditation registries, regulator listings, press coverage). Where we describe specific staff by name, we use publicly listed senior leadership only — never administrative, teaching, or pastoral staff who haven't put themselves forward publicly. If a school's named representative would like to update or remove a specific mention, email [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. There's no mailing list to notify you because we don't have one. Re-read this page if it matters to you.
Complaints
If you're not satisfied with our response to a data request, you can complain to the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee in Thailand (pdpc.or.th) or, for EU/EEA visitors, your local data protection authority.
