Assumption College Sriracha belongs in the Eastern Seaboard guide because it is a large, long-established, registry-confirmed school in a major expat employment area, not because it resembles an international school. The history and licence are unusually well documented

The school’s official planning documents say teaching began in Si Racha on 17 May 1944, with formal Ministry permission to establish the school on 3 September 1948 and government-equivalent recognition in 1950. The current OPEC school database separately lists Assumption College Sriracha at 29 Moo 10, Surasak. Those primary sources support the institution, address and long history. Older official reports contain historical pupil totals, but this guide does not publish them as current student count. Ask admissions which examinations are taken, who enters candidates, what certificates pupils receive and whether any programme follows an authorised Cambridge syllabus. Boarding is real, but the eligibility and price must be current

The official boarding page describes more than 500 rai and states that boys are accepted from Primary 1 through Secondary 6, while girls are accepted from Primary 5 through Secondary 6. It describes on-campus dormitories and supervised routines. The public pages checked for this session do not publish a current boarding tariff, deposits, laundry, weekend arrangements, travel rules or included meals. Confirm that the age and sex rules remain current for Thai academic year 2569, then request separate tuition and boarding invoices. Fees on application is the only honest current record

No current 2026/27 or Thai academic-year 2569 fee schedule was found on the official ACS site for tuition, programme supplements, application, registration, deposit, boarding, meals, transport, uniforms, books, examinations or activities. Older registration pages and search snippets are not a safe price source. The directory therefore carries no estimated range. The missing tariff does not make the school irrelevant; it changes the next action. Request a dated quote naming grade, programme and boarding status, with every compulsory line and refund condition. Ask for both first-year cash and a normal continuing-year total.

The Si Racha location may solve a real family logistics problem

The campus is in Surasak, Si Racha, an important residential and industrial corridor north of Pattaya. For a family working around Laem Chabang, Si Racha or nearby estates, ACS may be more practical than a school in central Pattaya or inland Rayong. Families living in Jomtien or south Pattaya should not assume a workable daily trip from a regional label. Request exact school transport coverage, first pickup, last drop-off, adult supervision and price. Boarding may solve distance for an older child, but it is a different family decision with separate safeguarding, weekend and cost implications.

The strongest fit chooses Thai continuity and programme depth consciously

ACS is most coherent for a family wanting Thai curricular continuity, strong Thai literacy, a substantial institution, optional higher English exposure and perhaps boarding. It is less suitable if the family needs an English-medium international credential, a small-school environment, a publicly transparent fee schedule or a campus-specific Cambridge qualification. Compare the actual programme timetable, not the English acronym. For an older pupil, request the current subject combinations, Thai university admissions guidance, English-test preparation and examples of overseas applications. A choice can be excellent without being international, provided the family is choosing the route it truly offers.

Use the verification date as a boundary, not a warranty
