Darasamutr belongs in this guide because Si Racha has a large expatriate and bilingual-family population, and parents searching for a school often compare every English-labelled programme on one list. That does not make the schools equivalent. Darasamutr is a registered Thai private school operating under the Office of the Private Education Commission, school code 1120100074. Its core route is Thailand’s national curriculum and its final school credential is Thai. The programme names add different academic or language emphases inside that system. A family should compare those emphases with the child’s actual needs, not translate “Mini English” into “international curriculum.”

The registration evidence is campus-specific

The school’s current history identifies OPEC supervision, while the school’s self-assessment record carries code 1120100074, the 11 Sukhumvit Road address and the licence date of 30 November 1936. This is the evidence that qualifies Darasamutr for the directory. It is stronger than a social-media advertisement or a government document that merely mentions a school. Registration establishes that it is a real school in the Thai private system; it does not establish WASC, CIS, IB, Cambridge or another international accreditation. None of those international credentials is attached to this record.

The programme decision starts at the child’s stage

The school’s current Kindergarten page lists DMEP, the Darasamutr Mini English Programme; DPBL, a project-based-learning track; and DITP, an information-technology programme. At Primary, the current admissions material lists SMP for stronger science and mathematics, ECJ for English, Chinese and Japanese language arts, and DMEP for more English exposure. These are meaningfully different daily experiences. A young child in DMEP may spend more time hearing and using English than a pupil in another track, but parents still need the subject-by-subject language timetable. Ask who teaches each subject, how much is in English, what qualifications the foreign teachers hold and how Thai literacy is protected.

Lower Secondary widens the menu. The published 2569 admissions list includes SMP, CBT for Chinese in business and technology, STP for science and technology, JTP for Japanese in technology and business, ECT for English and communication technology, and DMEP. Those labels describe emphasis rather than a globally standard credential. The practical questions are the weekly hours, entry tests, class size, compulsory projects, language starting level and what happens if a pupil changes track. A child entering without prior Chinese or Japanese should not assume that the timetable starts from zero.

Upper Secondary is organised around future-study themes: MEA for medical, engineering and architecture preparation; BFE for business, finance and entrepreneurship; RHT for robotics and high technology; CAE for communication arts and entertainment; and LIR for language and international relations. These are planning signals, not university guarantees. Ask for the exact M4-M6 subject credits, laboratory hours, mathematics level, portfolio work, university entrance preparation and recent destinations for the chosen plan. The label “Medical” does not by itself prove that the course contains every subject or assessment a target faculty expects.

Scale changes the school experience

Darasamutr’s own history says the campus covers more than 33 rai, serves more than 3,800 pupils and has more than 300 teachers and educational personnel. The current self-assessment report gives 3,919 pupils for academic year 2567, but this guide keeps the public-facing record at the school’s rounded 3,800-plus claim rather than pretending that an earlier exact count is live today. This is a large school. Scale can support more subject tracks, clubs, events and peer groups; it can also mean a more formal system and larger cohorts. Ask for the number of classes and pupils in the target programme, because a whole-school total does not reveal the child’s daily class size.

Central Si Racha is a structural advantage

The campus is at 11 Sukhumvit Road in Si Racha town, rather than on an inland international-school estate. For families living or working around central Si Racha, Laem Chabang and nearby industrial areas, that can reduce the daily journey materially. It also makes the school a different geographic proposition from Ban Bueng, Bowin, Pong or Rayong campuses. The school publishes a transport service page but no current public route tariff in the sources checked. Give admissions the home address and request the stop, vehicle, adult supervision, pickup time, return time, one-way price and round-trip price in writing.

The fee absence is information, not permission to estimate

Darasamutr publishes current 2569 recruitment pages and detailed programme descriptions, but we found no current school-published tariff for tuition or compulsory extras. That means the correct directory outcome is “fees on application.” An older parent invoice, a fee for another school in the same Catholic network or a search-result snippet cannot safely fill the gap. Programme supplements may differ even within the same grade. A family needs a dated invoice naming the grade, programme, payment schedule and every one-time and recurring charge before comparing Darasamutr with another school.

Calendar fit belongs in the decision

The current recruitment material uses Thai academic year 2569. Families transferring from a British, American or other international calendar should ask for the first day, last day, semester breaks, assessment periods and the latest practical entry date. A place may be technically available after term begins while the pupil has already missed programme-specific language or project work. Map both siblings’ calendars before accepting if another child attends a school using an August-to-June year.

Who should place it on the shortlist

Darasamutr can suit a family committed to Thailand’s education system, wanting a large established Si Racha campus and choosing among English, science, technology or language emphases. It may also fit Thai-international households that want strong Thai literacy and local university continuity while adding more English or a third language. It is a weaker fit for a family that requires an English-medium day across all subjects, an IB, A-Level or American diploma, or a campus-specific international accreditation for employer reimbursement or an overseas transfer. Those requirements should be resolved before an application fee becomes non-refundable.

What the public sources do not prove

The site describes programmes, facilities, transport and current admissions, but it does not publish the current fee schedule, class-by-class enrolment, teacher list with qualifications, learning-support tariff, examination charges or programme-by-programme outcomes needed for a final decision. The absence of a number is not evidence that the cost is zero. Ask admissions for each missing item and retain the answer beside the signed offer.
