Plan around the full break

At these two schools, Christmas Day falls between the December term end and January return. Put the full interval in your family calendar before choosing travel dates. Green Valley explicitly lists its Term 1 break as 12 December–4 January; Rugby publishes its last and first teaching days.

For a family with children at both schools, the last published teaching day is 11 December and the shared return is 5 January. Boarding checkout, airport transfers and holiday clubs each need their own booking.

Visiting a school in December

Arrange a tour before the school’s last teaching day if you want to see a normal teaching day. Ask admissions which classes you can see, whether your child can attend, and what documents to bring. A calendar’s term dates describe teaching; arrange the office appointment directly.

Use the admissions timeline to prepare applications and the Rugby and Regents comparison for another school choice. Regents dates are in the full term calendar.
