Provision and place
- Ask each admissions team which year group has a place, what assessment applies and which Sixth Form subjects will actually run for the proposed cohort. A listed pathway does not guarantee every subject.
- See the offered classroom, current work and reporting approach. Ask for class size, staffing, activities, English and learning support, and any examination access arrangements for that year.
- If boarding matters, visit the relevant house. Confirm the child's eligibility, pattern, nights, supervision, meals, laundry, weekend and holiday arrangements, medical cover and family contact. Ask how a new boarder is supported.
Full cost and daily routine
- Request a written 2026/27 quote for the child's exact year. Separate standard tuition, compulsory entry and trip or exam charges, deposits, meals, support, transport and boarding. Check payment dates, discount eligibility, notice and refund terms. The published annual-payment deadlines above have passed.
- Check the actual bus pickup window and price, or drive both journeys at school times. Compare calendars, weekday and weekend routines, and what happens if the family later switches between boarding and day attendance.
- Keep both dated offers and terms together. Unconfirmed subjects, support, boarding inclusions or charges remain open questions until the schools answer in writing.
