IB Diploma schools near Pattaya

In brief

Four schools deliver the IB Diploma Programme in the Pattaya and Eastern Seaboard area. Three pair it with a British route; one pairs it with an American route. Compare current age provision, fee years, accreditation and the Sixth Form pathway at each school.

The qualification

What the IB Diploma involves

The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year qualification for students aged 16–19. Students study six subjects, usually three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level, alongside the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS). The maximum Diploma score is 45 points.

The Diploma keeps a broader subject mix than an A-Level programme built around three or four subjects. Check the exact course and university entry requirements before choosing a Sixth Form route; a school’s subject offering and the child’s likely grades matter more than a general claim about recognition.

Questions that distinguish the routes

If your child wants the option to switch to A-Levels at G11

Regents Pattaya publishes both IB Diploma and A-Level routes after IGCSE. Ask which subjects run in each route for the intended intake and when a student must make the choice.

If you want published Diploma results

Garden International Rayong published a 100% IBDP pass rate in 2023 (Garden Rayong examination-results page). The same page lists 89% in 2022 and 100% in 2021, so the three-year trend is not three consecutive 100% years. The school is CIS-accredited and a current FOBISIA member; FOBISIA says it joined in 2002 or earlier. Trade-off: the journey from Pattaya is address-specific and must be tested in school traffic.

If you want IBDP with a multilingual layer

St. Andrews Green Valley publishes Dutch language and culture lessons from Reception through Secondary School alongside its British and IB routes, with CNaVT and IB Diploma Dutch options. It is part of Cognita, reports an EDT Silver rating, and describes Forest School in its programme. Ask which Dutch lessons and Diploma subjects run for the child’s year group.

If your child is American-curriculum-bound and wants IBDP optionality

International School Eastern Seaboard (ISE) publishes an American high-school diploma and an IB Diploma route in Grades 11–12. Its IB authorisation dates to 2004. Current enrolment is not published, so ask about the size of the intended Diploma cohort and which subjects run.
