SISB
Rayong.

A growing trilingual international school in Nong Taphan, Ban Khai. EYFS and Singapore Primary feed into a Singapore/UK middle-school blend, then Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A-Level. The published 2026/27 schedule reaches Grade 12, but new applications currently stop at Grade 10.

SISB Rayong is not a Pattaya-city school with a Rayong label attached. It sits at 111 Moo 1 in Nong Taphan, Ban Khai, inland from Rayong city. That makes it a practical contender for families whose daily life is already centred on Rayong, Ban Khai, Map Ta Phut, Pluak Daeng or the eastern industrial corridor. For a family living in central Pattaya or Jomtien, it is a location decision before it is a curriculum decision. The school does not publish a Pattaya bus route or a transport tariff on the fee schedule, so do not assume the campus is a normal coastal commute. Ask admissions to confirm the exact collection point, supervised journey time and annual transport price in writing.

The school opened in August 2023. That youth matters. The advantage is a purpose-built campus and a pathway designed as one system rather than accumulated over decades. The trade-off is that the oldest grades, alumni history, examination record and subject menu are still developing. SISB publishes fees through Grade 12, but its 2026/27 fee document says the school is accepting applications only from Nursery 1 through Grade 10. A Grade 11 or Grade 12 price in a table is therefore not evidence that a new student can enter that year. Families with teenagers should get the admitted grade, available subjects and cohort size written into the offer before paying non-refundable charges.

The curriculum — four stages, not one label

“Singapore curriculum” is useful shorthand, but it does not describe every year at this campus. Nursery and Kindergarten use an early-years programme that the school presents as EYFS-informed and trilingual. Primary 1 to Primary 6 follow the Singapore curriculum, with English as the main medium and Thai and Mandarin embedded in the school model. Grades 7 and 8 use a blended Singapore and UK approach. Grades 9 and 10 move to Cambridge IGCSE. Grades 11 and 12 are published as Cambridge AS and A-Level years.

That sequence can suit a child who benefits from the structured mathematics and language emphasis associated with Singapore schooling, then wants an internationally legible British examination route. It can be harder for a late transfer if the incoming child has not studied Mandarin, has learned maths in a different sequence, or arrives just before IGCSE subject selection. Ask for a written placement map showing which prior credits or topics are expected at the proposed entry point. The published schedule also marks Grade 10, Grade 11 and Grade 12 as two-term billing years, so families should not convert a term figure mechanically without reading the notes.

The campus page says the International Baccalaureate may be offered in the future. “May” and “future” are the operative words. SISB Rayong is not listed here as an IB World School, and the current pathway in this guide ends with Cambridge AS/A-Level. A group may operate IB programmes elsewhere without every campus inheriting that authorisation. If IB is essential to your family, choose from schools with a campus-specific listing in the IB directory rather than relying on a future-plan sentence.

Licence is not accreditation

SISB's public company report records the Rayong school licence under Thailand's Office of the Private Education Commission and the 2023 opening. That is the regulatory basis for including the campus in this directory. It is not the same thing as CIS, WASC, NEASC or IB accreditation. We found no current campus-specific external accreditation listing that should be attached to SISB Rayong. The record therefore leaves the accreditation field empty instead of inheriting group-level credentials from another SISB campus. Parents should ask which Cambridge centre number will enter the child for IGCSE or A-Level examinations and whether the centre is campus-specific or administered elsewhere in the group.

What the trilingual model asks of the child

English, Thai and Mandarin are central to the school proposition. That can be genuinely valuable for multilingual families, especially those planning long-term life in Thailand or links with Singapore and China. It is also a workload choice. A child arriving with no Mandarin may need extra support, and the fee sheet prices English Learning Support at ฿20,000 or ฿30,000 per term depending on the level assessed. The public fee document does not price Mandarin catch-up, individual learning support or special educational needs provision. Ask which support is compulsory after assessment, who delivers it, how progress is measured and whether the charge is per term or per academic year.

The age range advertised by the campus is two to eighteen, but the current admissions ceiling is the more useful planning fact. A sibling pair can face different availability: a Primary child may have a straightforward entry route while an older teenager cannot join the published senior pathway yet. Ask for current class size by the exact grade, not a group-wide student number. We found no school-published campus enrolment total to use, and we will not substitute a group total or an estimate.

The location calculation

Ban Khai is a strong location for some employers and a poor one for some homes. Families working in Rayong's industrial estates may reduce the school run substantially compared with travelling toward Pattaya. Families based in Naklua, Pratumnak or Jomtien may be moving in the opposite direction from their work and social life. Test the route at school-start and dismissal times. A map estimate outside peak hours does not account for factory traffic, rain or the final local roads. The school fee document excludes transport, and the public campus material we reviewed does not give a route price. That missing number belongs in the affordability decision because a long private-car run can outweigh a tuition saving.

The growing-school trade-off

A new campus can be intimate: fewer students, easier access to school leaders and less institutional inertia. It can also mean small year groups, a changing subject offer and activities that depend on reaching a viable cohort. This is especially important at IGCSE and A-Level, where a published pathway does not guarantee every subject combination. Ask for the actual 2026/27 timetable, minimum class size, examination board, laboratory access, university-counselling provision and what happens if a requested subject does not run. Ask for current numbers in the proposed grade and the number of students expected to progress with your child.

Do the same for sport and activities. The tuition schedule excludes extracurricular activities, academy programmes, some trips and residential trips. A campus photo or facilities list cannot tell you whether a competitive team exists at your child's age. Request the current weekly activity timetable and the charge beside every selected activity. For a serious athlete or musician, ask who coaches, how many training sessions run, what competition calendar exists and whether travel fees sit outside tuition.

Admissions — get the offer letter to do the work

The fee schedule charges ฿5,000 for application and ฿5,000 for assessment, both non-refundable. The ฿220,000 enrolment fee is also non-refundable under the standard schedule. The ฿50,000 deposit is refundable subject to outstanding balances and the school's withdrawal rules. Those four lines create ฿280,000 of cash due beyond tuition, of which only ฿50,000 is designed to return. The withdrawal deadlines printed for 2026/27 are 17 August 2026 for leaving at the end of Term 1, 4 January 2027 for leaving at the end of Term 2 and 19 April 2027 for leaving at the end of Term 3. Miss the notice rule and the practical value of “refundable” can change.

The school currently advertises a new-student promotion for 2026/27, including an enrolment-fee waiver and a discount on tuition and resources, subject to its terms. That is potentially material, but a promotion is not the stable price of the school. It may depend on grade, application date, availability or other conditions and can be withdrawn. Budget first from the standard schedule, then deduct only the discount written into the signed offer. Ask whether the percentage applies before or after sibling and annual-payment discounts and whether it continues after the first year.

Where SISB Rayong fits

At the lower end, Nursery tuition is above the lowest-cost bilingual schools but below the premium boarding campuses. At the published Grade 11–12 level, ฿789,300 tuition plus resources and meals enters the established international-school price band. The strongest reason to choose it is not that it is automatically cheaper; it is the combination of Ban Khai location, trilingual language exposure and the Singapore-to-Cambridge sequence. If those three elements match the child and the family's geography, the campus deserves a tour. If the family lives in Pattaya and primarily wants British IGCSE, there are closer schools whose mature senior cohorts may justify their own fee difference.

Compare SISB Rayong with ISE for an eastern-corridor American-plus-IB route, Garden for a British-plus-IB school with boarding in Ban Chang, and Regents or Rugby if boarding and a larger established secondary community matter. Those are different products, not a simple price ladder. The decision should turn on the route your child can sustain daily, the exact grade currently open, the subjects actually running and the full written invoice.

Questions to take to admissions

Ask for the total first-year invoice at the child's exact grade, showing the standard price and every promotion separately. Ask whether resources, lunch, bus, uniform, devices, examinations, trips, English support and activities are compulsory. Confirm the 2026/27 admitted grade and current cohort size. Request the Grade 7–12 subject map, examination-centre details and the current upper-school timetable. Ask for the bus stop, supervised journey time and annual price from your home. Finally, ask which campus-specific accreditations or authorisations are active today and request the registry link. A clear written answer to those questions is more useful than a broad group brochure.

// 04 · Best for

Rayong-based families who specifically want Singapore structure and three languages.

The strongest fit is a family living or working around Ban Khai and the Rayong industrial corridor, with a child entering Nursery through Grade 10 and a positive reason for the Singapore-to-Cambridge sequence. The family is comfortable joining a campus still building its senior cohorts and will verify the actual subject timetable, cohort size and full invoice rather than treating group-level claims as campus facts.

// 05 · Trade-offs

What the headline range does not show.

  • Large entry costs. The standard schedule adds ฿280K in application, assessment, enrolment and deposit before resources and meals.
  • Staged senior intake. Grade 11–12 fees exist, but new 2026/27 applications stop at Grade 10.
  • Young-campus evidence base. No mature campus-specific examination history, alumni record or externally verified enrolment total is published yet.
  • No inherited accreditation. OPEC licensing is verified; no current campus-specific CIS, WASC, NEASC or IB authorisation was found.
  • Transport is unpriced. The school excludes bus transport and publishes no Pattaya route price in the sources checked.
  • Promotional price risk. A waiver or first-year discount can disappear; compare schools using the standard schedule and the signed offer side by side.
