What is actually published?

SISB publishes 2026/27 tuition of ฿401,700–฿789,300; Highgate publishes ฿375,000–฿795,000 for its opening Pre-Nursery-to-Year-6 cohort. Both add entry and service costs, so compare first-year and recurring totals for the same age and attendance pattern.

What is the curriculum choice?

SISB moves from EYFS and Singapore Primary into Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A-Level. Highgate opens with the British National Curriculum and plans IGCSE and A-Level as senior grades are added.

What needs planning?

SISB’s tariff reaches Grade 12 while 2026/27 new applications stop at Grade 10. Highgate's opening offer stops at Year 6; Senior School is planned for 2027/28 and boarding is not yet operating.

Shortlist guidance

  • SISB suits families seeking English, Thai and Mandarin with a Singapore-to-Cambridge route in Ban Khai.
  • Highgate suits families seeking a new British primary campus near Siam Country Club and comfortable verifying every phased-opening milestone.
// 03 · compare the usable offer

Cambridge routes.
Different foundations.

Both schools describe eventual routes through age 18, but current availability is narrower. SISB combines three languages and Singapore stages with Cambridge qualifications; Highgate opens with British Pre-Prep and Junior School while its senior pathway remains phased.

Match the actual attendance offer

Ask both schools to state the child’s proposed class, start date, age cut-off, core hours and following year. SISB publishes Nursery, Kindergarten, Primary and Grades 7–12 fee rows; Highgate's opening tariff covers Pre-Nursery through Year 6, with half-day and full-day early-years choices. Similar ages do not ensure identical placement.

SISB’s new-applicant range stops at Grade 10 despite senior fees. Highgate's August 2026 opening cohort stops at Year 6, Senior School is planned for 2027/28 and later grades need a written opening schedule.

Make language exposure visible

SISB records English, Thai and Mandarin. Ask for the weekly allocation, subject language, newcomer support and transition from Singapore Primary into Cambridge stages.

Highgate records English as the medium alongside Thai and Mandarin. Ask how British primary stages appear in current work and how Years 10–11 prepare pupils for A-Level selection.

At both visits, request anonymised work and the report format. Observe how teachers explain unfamiliar tasks, differentiate work and support pupils new to English.

Build complete first-year totals

SISB’s 2026/27 tuition runs from ฿401,700 to ฿789,300. Application and assessment are ฿5,000 each, enrolment ฿220,000 and deposit ฿50,000. Resources are ฿30,500–฿84,000, meals ฿26,400–฿39,000 and ELS ฿20,000–฿30,000 per term.

Highgate's 2026/27 opening-cohort tuition runs from ฿375,000 to ฿795,000. Application is ฿5,500, one-time non-refundable enrolment ฿200,000 and the refundable security deposit ฿100,000.

Highgate says tuition includes lunch, snacks, general learning resources and a wide range of after-school activities. Uniform, external examinations, educational visits, bus service, school photographs and designated co-curricular options are extra, but their tariffs are not published.

Create totals for cash before attendance, the complete first year and a normal recurring year. Mark refundable deposits, one-time charges, discounts, every unpriced service and support triggered by assessment.

Plan both transfer points

SISB publishes Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A-Level after its Singapore stages. Confirm which senior grades currently operate, accept newcomers and offer each subject.

Highgate plans IGCSE and A-Level within a phased British route. Ask for the grade-opening calendar, current OPEC approvals, subject-launch thresholds and the contingency if a planned senior year or option is delayed.

Rehearse relocation after two years. Request the transcript, curriculum map, language evidence and teacher references each school would supply.

Audit support without assumptions

SISB publishes ELS at ฿20,000–฿30,000 per term. Highgate's current ledger does not publish a language- or learning-support tariff, so treat the provision and price as unknown until admissions supplies them.

If support matters, request the staff member, group size, minutes per week, review date, progress measure, exit criteria and price. Separate English acquisition from other learning needs.

Bring existing reports before assessment and ask admissions to state any limitations in writing.

Test the senior pathway with present evidence

SISB’s published sequence reaches Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A-Level, but the Rayong campus opened in 2023 and its 2026/27 new-applicant range stops at Grade 10. Ask which secondary grades are operating now, how many pupils are in each cohort, which IGCSE subjects are taught and when the first Rayong AS/A-Level cohort is expected.

Highgate opens through Year 6 in August 2026 and plans Senior School for 2027/28. Ask for the dated year-by-year expansion plan, which approvals are already in place, when IGCSE subjects will first run and what happens if enrolment or regulatory timing changes.

For either school, request a sample transcript, the planned examination calendar and the counselling timeline appropriate to the child's likely cohort.

Compare accreditation and curriculum claims carefully

Highgate received its OPEC operational licence in May 2026 and appears in the OPEC register as school 1120700017. Neither Highgate nor SISB carries a campus-level international accreditation in the current ledger.

Registration still does not make the classroom choice automatically. Compare the proposed teacher, class size, language load, homework pattern, assessment style and reporting cadence. A pupil moving from another Singapore system may find SISB’s sequence more familiar; a pupil coming from a British school may map more directly into Highgate. Families arriving from other systems should ask both schools to explain placement using actual prior records.

Model discounts without hiding the standard price

SISB publishes a 2% full-year tuition discount, sibling tuition discounts of 5% for the second child and 10% for later children, and a 20% enrolment reduction from the second child. Highgate publishes a 3% full-year prepayment discount, 5% for the second child and 10% for each additional sibling.

Keep those reductions below the standard-fee comparison. Ask whether discounts can combine, which deadline applies and what happens if the family withdraws.

Test the real family week

SISB is in Nong Taphan, Ban Khai; Highgate is near Siam Country Club in Banglamung. Drive both routes at arrival and collection times, including work and sibling stops.

Both schools exclude transport without a current public tariff, so request address-specific quotes. Highgate boarding is planned but not operating, and current official pages conflict between 2027 and 2028/29; treat residential provision as unavailable until a dated contract and fee are published.

Finish the offer meeting

  1. Placement: exact class, live operation and next class.
  2. Learning: language allocation, programme map, work and reports.
  3. Cost: acceptance cash, first year and recurring year.
  4. Support: provision, staffing, review and price.
  5. Transition: SISB’s operating Singapore-to-Cambridge sequence or Highgate's phased British IGCSE-to-A-Level plan.

Observe, record,
then decide.

Test a normal morning

Arrive before the class begins and watch the transition from gate to room. Record how quickly the child separates, who welcomes them, which language adults use and whether the routine is understandable without repeated prompting. Ask what happens on a difficult morning and how parents are informed. A polished tour after children leave cannot answer these questions.

Compare learning evidence

Ask for a starting assessment, mid-year report and anonymised work from the proposed class. At SISB, trace English, Thai and Mandarin into Singapore and Cambridge stages. At Highgate, trace British primary work into the documented year-by-year plan for IGCSE and the later A-Level decision.

Record the balance of adult-led, child-initiated, individual and group activity during the visit. Ask how teachers adapt the same task for a child who is new to English, already reading or reluctant to join a group. The right environment is not defined by one teaching philosophy; it is the setting where staff can explain how this child will participate and progress.

Check care outside lessons

Confirm arrival supervision, meals, allergies, illness procedures, late collection and activities. SISB prices meals and resources separately; Highgate tuition includes lunch, snacks, general learning resources and a wide range of after-school activities. Put excluded visits, designated activities and holiday arrangements in writing.

Place both calendars beside the family’s work calendar. Count closures that require alternative care and ask whether holiday programmes are offered, separately registered or guaranteed to enrolled pupils. A school-year tuition comparison does not capture care purchased during long breaks.

Separate address from commute

SISB is in Nong Taphan, Ban Khai; Highgate is near Siam Country Club in Banglamung. Verify each entrance, transport route and contract address before payment. Test gate queues, parking and the return journey.

Both schools are day-only in the current ledger. Highgate's boarding is planned rather than operating, with conflicting official dates and no published fee, so it cannot presently replace a sustainable commute.

Write a conditional decision

For each school, finish the sentence: “This place works if…” Include the quoted total, language routine, classroom fit, support availability, care hours, travel ceiling and next-school plan. Then write the conditions that would trigger a review. This prevents a single attractive feature from hiding an unresolved cost or transition risk.

Run the same exercise for two future dates. At age six, compare SISB Primary with Highgate Year 1 on language, teaching approach and complete price. At age eleven, recheck SISB’s Cambridge transition and whether Highgate's planned Senior School, subject range and support provision opened on schedule.

Ask how each school handles a mid-year departure before assuming either transfer will happen neatly at the end of a stage. Record required notice, reports supplied, outstanding-fee conditions and whether unused services can be refunded. A family expecting relocation should weight these documented terms alongside teaching and price.

Do not pay while a condition remains material and unanswered. Ask admissions to correct the offer email, retain both 2026/27 schedules and note who supplied every grade and support answer. That record makes the decision auditable.

// FAQ

Quick answers
before you decide.

Which school publishes lower 2026/27 tuition?

The answer changes by age and attendance pattern. Highgate's half-day early-years row starts lower, while SISB is lower at several overlapping full-day stages; compare child-specific first-year and recurring totals.

Are both schools British?

Not in the same way. SISB combines Singapore and Cambridge stages; Highgate follows a British route through IGCSE and A-Level.

How long can a child stay?

Both describe eventual pathways through age 18, but SISB’s 2026/27 new applications stop at Grade 10 and Highgate's August 2026 opening cohort stops at Year 6 while later grades are phased.

What should a SISB quote include?

Ask for grade availability, tuition, application, assessment, enrolment, deposit, resources, meals, transport, trips, devices, ELS and refund terms.

What should a Highgate quote include?

Ask for attendance pattern, tuition, application, enrolment, security deposit, uniform, examinations, educational visits, transport, designated activities, any support and refund terms.
