Rugby vs. Regents
A-Level brand vs. IBDP optionality. Boarding from 10 vs. Y3. Side-by-side fees + decision framework.
Thirteen schools publish a transport price. On like-for-like 2026/27 annual return terms, tariffs run from ฿39,000 at MIS Zone 1 to ฿200,000 for ISC Zone E; older, monthly and term-only schedules are kept separate.

Seven schools publish a current 2026/27 return or two-way price that can be put on an annual basis without guessing the direction. The spread is wide because the campuses and outer zones are different: a higher number can mean a much longer route, not a dearer operator.
| School | Published annual range | Area / distance basis | One-way option | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MIS | ฿39,000–฿90,000 | Nine named zones, from Nong Prue / Nong Pla Lai to Si Racha | 50% of the term return fee | Official source ↗ |
| EFIP | ฿46,000 | One published return tariff; no public zones | ฿35,000/year | Fee PDF ↗ |
| St Andrew's | ฿57,000–฿89,500 | Ban Chang, Rayong, Pattaya, Si Racha and Bangsaen | 75% of return price | Fee PDF ↗ |
| ISE | ฿70,000–฿93,700, then +฿8/km | 1–35 km, 36–45 km, 46–60 km, then 61+ km | No public one-way tariff found | Fee PDF ↗ |
| Regents | ฿60,000–฿168,000 | A1–E+; Nongketyai to Bangsaen | ฿45,000–฿126,000/year | Fee PDF ↗ |
| ISC | ฿52,580–฿200,000 | Zones A–D summed from three terms; Zone E is ฿20,000 × 10 months | No public one-way tariff found | Fee PDF ↗ |
| Wells Chonburi | ฿72,000–฿160,000 | 1–30 km through 81–100 km; two semesters | ฿50,400–฿112,000/year | Fee PDF ↗ |
These are transport charges, not tuition. Route coverage, seat availability, fuel adjustments and the exact stop still need written confirmation. ISC says the school determines the zone; Rugby says routes are reviewed and its older schedule required a minimum six pupils.
The following records answer useful planning questions, but they do not belong in the current annual-return range above. Older fee years stay older; monthly and per-term numbers remain on their published basis; a tariff without a direction label is not called return service.
| School | Published price | Basis and limitation | Coverage | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Garden Rayong | ฿18,000–฿32,100/term | 2025/26 return tariff; one-way is 80%; fuel-dependent | Ban Chang, Sattahip / Map Ta Phut, Rayong / Pattaya, Ban Khai / Rong Po | Official source ↗ |
| Rugby Thailand | ฿87,500–฿115,500/year return | Latest linked booklet is 2025/26, not 2026/27; single direction was ฿65,610–฿86,610 | Four zones from Mabprachan to Bangsaen | Bus booklet ↗ |
| TPIS | ฿9,000–฿12,000/month | Current undated page; it mentions one-way and return service but does not label which direction basis the price uses | School area, east Pattaya, central Pattaya, Jomtien, Pratumnak, Naklua and Ban Amphur | Official source ↗ |
| BJP Elite | ฿3,500–฿10,000/month return | 2026/27; one-way ฿2,000–฿5,900/month through 20 km, with no one-way price shown at 25 km | Distance bands within 6, 12, 17, 20 and 25 km | Official source ↗ |
| REPS | ฿18,100–฿27,700/semester | 2026/27 image; direction basis is not labelled, so no return assumption is made | Ban Chang, Map Ta Phut, Rayong, Sattahip, Bang Sare, Nikom Pattana and Pattaya | Fee image ↗ |
| TJAS Si Racha | About ฿20,000–฿30,000/term | Current undated FAQ estimate; school says the operator revises rates annually for days and fuel | Exact route and quote from Montri | Official FAQ ↗ |
Mabprachan and east Pattaya. MIS names Nong Prue, Nong Pla Lai, Pornprapa Nimit, Siam Country Club and nearby east-side corridors across Zones 1–4. Regents places Mabprachan in A2; ISC places it in Zone A. TPIS quotes ฿11,000/month for the Mabprachan / Siam Country Club group, but the direction basis is unclear. Rugby's 2025/26 Zone 1 covered Mabprachan, Pornprapanimit and Nong Pla Lai.
Central Pattaya, south Pattaya and Jomtien. Regents moves from Zone B for central and south Pattaya to C for Thepprasit, Jomtien and Chaiyapreuk. ISC uses the same broad B-to-C split. MIS distributes these districts through Zones 3, 5 and 7. ISE names central Pattaya in its 1–35 km band and south Pattaya in 36–45 km.
Si Racha and the northern corridor. MIS publishes ฿90,000 for Si Racha. Regents extends through Si Racha, Ao Udom, Bang Phra, Nong Mon and Bangsaen across D–E+. St Andrew's publishes separate Si Racha and Bangsaen tariffs. ISE and Wells use distance bands; the home address matters more than the town label.
Ban Chang, Rayong and Sattahip. St Andrew's, Garden and REPS name these areas directly. ISE includes Sattahip in its 46–60 km band. ISC places Rayong in its highest Zone E. A farther town does not always produce a higher tariff: campus location changes the route origin.
In the current 29-school source set, no usable transport price was found for Highgate, SISB Rayong, Hastin, El Dream, Satit Udomseuksa, ACS, Darasamutr, Maryvit Bowin, Maryvit Sattahip, Sirasartsuksa, Kids Avenue, Belfry, Lovell, Phoenix Wittaya, BEST or BPIS.
That does not mean none offers transport. It means the public sources checked do not support a price that can be compared. SISB's 2026/27 schedule ↗ explicitly excludes transport; BEST's fee page ↗ describes bus service without a current tariff. A blank line is not a zero.
Send admissions the map pin, child age, required direction and preferred start date. Ask for the assigned zone, annual or term charge, stop location, collection and drop-off window, adult supervision, seat-belt arrangement, cancellation notice, refunds for absence, fuel surcharge and what happens when a route changes.
Then test the likely drive on a weekday at school-run time. A tariff can be affordable while a 60–90 minute ride each way is the wrong daily life for the child. For younger pupils, ask whether the quoted time is the direct drive or the full multi-stop bus circuit.
Use the public tariff to reject impossible combinations of home and school. Do not choose a house from the zone name alone. The decision is ready only when the school confirms that exact address, route, stop, journey time and price.
This guide suits a family choosing between neighbourhoods, comparing the transport premium across a shortlist, or checking whether a one-way option changes the budget. It makes the published bases comparable without pretending every route is current or equivalent.
Skip the public table and request an address-level quote first when the lease is already fixed, the child needs a particular supervision or accessibility arrangement, an activity bus is essential, or the maximum ride time is non-negotiable. None of the schools publishes a reliable stop-order journey-time table for a specific home.
Search suggestions and result snippets were used to identify the planning question. Prices and route statements come from the schools' own pages or documents. Arithmetic conversions are labelled where used.
Among seven schools with comparable 2026/27 annual return prices, the published range is ฿39,000 at MIS Zone 1 to ฿200,000 for ISC Zone E. This is a source-set range, not a market average: another six schools publish older, monthly, per-term or direction-unclear figures that should not be mixed into it.
Regents, MIS, ISE and ISC publish current 2026/27 zones or distance bands. St Andrew's publishes named towns, Wells publishes distance bands, and EFIP publishes one campus-wide price. Garden and Rugby also publish zones, but their latest public schedules are for 2025/26 rather than 2026/27.
Several schools publish one-way prices, but the calculation differs. Regents lists separate one-way annual figures, St Andrew's charges 75% of the term return price, Garden lists 80%, MIS charges 50%, and Wells publishes its own one-way bands. Confirm direction and stop before paying.
No. Schools can assign the zone, change or consolidate routes, require minimum passenger numbers, add fuel-related charges or decline stops outside an operating route. Treat every public tariff as a planning figure until the school confirms the address, stop, journey time and price in writing.
