School reviews: what inspectors and awarding bodies confirm
In brief
We don’t publish ratings, stars or parent reviews. What anyone can check is whether an inspector or awarding body lists a school. On 14 October 2026 we read each body’s own page for every school in this guide. Below: what we could confirm, what schools claim but we could not match, and how to check a school yourself.
8 schools with a listing we could confirm
Each line was read on the inspector’s, awarding body’s or government’s own page on 14 October 2026. A listing confirms the school is recognised by that body; it is not a quality score.

What schools claim that we could not confirm
These schools state an accreditation, membership or licence on their own website that we could not match at the awarding body on 14 October 2026. 8 of them have no confirmed listing at all. Searchable directories (Cambridge International, CIS, ISAT, COBIS, ACS WASC) could not be reopened that day, so a claim listed here may still be genuine; ask the school for the certificate.

13 schools with no claim an awarding body confirms
We found no accreditation claim on these schools’ websites that an awarding body could confirm on 14 October 2026: MIS, BJP, BEST, Phoenix Wittaya, Lovell, ACS Sriracha, Darasamutr, Maryvit Bowin, El Dream, Maryvit Sattahip, Belfry International, Sirasartsuksa Amata, Kids Avenue. Ask each school which inspections apply and for its licence from the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC).
How to check a school yourself
- Ask for the documents. Request the accreditation certificates, the latest inspection report and the school’s OPEC licence number.
- Find the school at the source. British Schools Overseas reports are on GOV.UK; IB World Schools are on the IB’s school finder.
- Check the date. An inspection report or authorisation has a date; ask what has been inspected since.
- Talk to current parents at a visit. Ask the school to arrange it; their experience of one year group is useful context, not a rating.
Quick answers
Does Pattaya School Guide publish school reviews or ratings?
No. We publish facts each school or an official body publishes, with the date we read them. We don’t give stars, rankings or parent reviews.
Which Pattaya schools have a British government inspection?
The UK government lists Rugby School Thailand as an accredited British School Overseas, with its latest inspection report dated 13 November 2025. It also lists a report for Regents International School Pattaya dated 27 April 2023; whether that accreditation is current for 2026/27 is unconfirmed.
Which schools near Pattaya are IB World Schools?
The IB’s own school pages list Regents International School Pattaya, St Andrews International School Green Valley, Garden International School Rayong and International School Eastern Seaboard, each authorised for the IB Diploma.
How do I check a school myself?
Ask the school for its accreditation certificates and latest inspection report, then find the school on the awarding body’s own website. For a private school in Thailand, also ask for its licence from the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC).
